Need help with a light-trail photo or motion clip? Start here.

Capture and save

• Photo combines a short capture into one light-trail image. Start with 1 second, tap to focus, and keep the phone steady.
• Motion clip records 3 or 5 seconds of silent video. The recording preview looks normal; trails appear after processing.
• Finished results save automatically. Wait for Saved before leaving. Photos are in Pictures/FlowTrace and clips in Movies/FlowTrace.
• To change a clip's trails or speed, choose your settings and tap Apply & save. This saves an edited copy and keeps the original.
• If saving fails, use Retry. A visible preview alone does not mean the file has reached your gallery.

• Your FlowTrace version, shown in Help and About.
• Whether you were using Photo or Motion clip.
• What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
• Any error message shown in the app.

Please do not send passwords or other sensitive information. You do not need to send footage with your first message. Only share photos or clips you have permission to share.
