Help with your next drawing.
Need help turning a video into animation? Start here.
Make a drawing
- Choose a video or Record one, then tap a look in the row of thumbnails. Hold the picture to compare with your original.
- Trim picks the part to draw. Shorter clips draw faster: a few seconds is a good start.
- Adjust changes color, strength, background detail, and the hand-drawn wobble.
- Tap Make it. Good quality is quicker and uses less memory; Best is sharper but slower.
- Drawing keeps going if you switch apps, with progress in a notification. Finished drawings save automatically to Movies/Inkflip.
Focus on someone
- Tap Focus on someone, slide to a moment where they're easy to see, and tap them two to four times (for example head, body, legs). A yellow line shows who's in focus.
- Choose what's behind them: the same look, the real video, or another look, and an outline if you like.
- Preview it follows them through the clip so you can check before drawing. It also makes the drawing itself faster.
- Focusing takes longer than drawing the whole frame, especially at Best quality.
If something goes wrong
- If Android closes Inkflip while it's drawing (usually to free memory), reopen it: your video and settings come back so you can try again. Good quality and a shorter trim use less memory.
- If a video won't open, choose it again from the picker.
